Wow. What a day! and it's not really even over.. there is plenty of analysis to do, questions to answer, updates to make. But here are some preliminary numbers (subject to change in minor ways):
raised online: $6,023,995
total donation: 58,853
total new donors: 24630
I think my numbers might be a little low in some cases.. not by alot.. I have to figure some stuff out... and I might need some sleep first.. it's been a really long time :)
here are some cool graphs for the day:![]()

Like I said... more to come.. might need some sleep.. there will be site updates and some new data from the new widget... some clarifications on stuff... it's going to be a fun week!
Congrats every one... this day was a great success on all counts.. we broke our own records and John Kerry's record... the campaign got a nice chunk of change and there's sure to be some press... well done... get some sleep.

Please analyze the final hour in some detail - particularly in how the donation spikes at the end related to 'landmarks' like 6 million for the day - and 18 million on ronpaul2008...
Interesting for two reasons - One, your part in publicizing the data (i.e. people see these goals - and try to attain them) - and the official campaign site also displaying this data (and providing it to you - and anyone)...
So - there really are a lot of people providing services at high levels (ronpaulgraphs, the blimp!, ronpaulforums, etc.....) - and the grass roots army itself utilizing these services :)
Imagine if we had liberty to boot?

You have some amazing cool stuff - it was a nice day and most of it was spent on your graphs!!
Ron Paul supporters ROCK!!!
I 3VOL you guys.
Go Ron Go!
I agree with Bill.
The Ron Paul campaign deserves to be applauded for opening up its fundraising to public, real-time tracking. That was an incredibly gutsy decision!
Now thanks to the use ronpaulgraphs and others have made of that data, it's a decision that has led to amazing results.
Exactly the kind of results libertarian philosophy and Austrian economics tells us to expect when freedom is allowed to do its thing!

We started the day at around ~11.5 million and ended at close to ~18 million so isn't that $6.5 million?
Great Job Dan!! Sleep tight!
Great job everyone.
However, everything hinges on how many people actually get out to vote in Iowa and New Hampshire. If Paul finishes in the top three in either state watch the campaign take off.
For your information, there were people trying to inject code through the site's main Flash image toward midnight so there may have been problems there.
so...
Ron Paul is now the new Six Million Dollar Man. Lee Majors eat your heart out.
Peace,
K
This is awesome news. Now, since we are an autonomous collective, active in all of the several states, we have an advantage over the other candidates. If other candidates do well, they will suffer severe growing pains, whereas we will assimilate and multiply painlessly.
I just wanted to say that I just gave Dan B $100 for his services - I already maxed my $2300 to RP. I wanted to express my thanks and perhaps provide some motivation for one of my new most visited websites.
I also try and make it a point to click through to his advertisers.
Just a little note of thanks and appreciation.
Go Ron Go
(yes this is a cut-and-paste from another post)
Yeah Matt, this should be close to 6.5 million. I have a screen shot right @11:59PM last night and it shows ~11,555,000. I was actually kind of upset that rpgraphs wasn't keeping proper totals.
(and yes, that is in E.T. zone)
How about we all celebrate that there wasn't a server meltdown or some other major issue. I can deal with 10 minutes of glitch - even if it was the last, most intense minutes of the day.
Ryan: there was an injection of about 400k in the evening comprised of offline (phone) donation totals.
The $6 million was the total raised online. Add ~400k to that and you get the total for the entire day, ~ $6.4 - $6.5 million
Got ya...okay, that would make sense...so I take it they've already added the 400k to the tally. Well, either way, I'd like the real total reported by the media...things get distorted out there very easily...wait, I am talking to fellow RP fans so I shouldn't even have to say that :)
Our congress has shown that they are part of the problem. They passes the defense bill #1585 $700 billion Dollars for the Bush Buddies to stuff their pockets with.
Hope for America Ron Paul President
Thanks for your great work on the site! I check it faithfully. Isn't it fantastic the small businesses that have sprung up around the RP campaign?
I hung packets on doorknobs, put up 20 homemade cardboard box signs, and held signs for Ron Paul at the downtown square with my meet-up group. The Spirit of 1776 is alive and spreading fast!
Hey! My guess was $6.0m, do I win? Haha.
The offline donations were also impressive, was that all in one day, or was it over a period of a week?
Can't wait for that FEC report. Did I just say that?
The contribution totals are amazing and Ron Paul can win.
